January, 2008 In March 2007, gh Testing began assisting a few customers with the new ISTA 4AB. This year, we would like to further promote ISTA 4AB, as well as ISTA 3A and 3B (when it becomes available) by helping you develop a detailed test plan. This plan would be based on how and where you ship your packaged product. This is currently at no cost to our customers, even if you are not a member of ISTA!  New customers would also receive this service, provided the gh Testing executes the ISTA 4AB test plan.  Following the testing, gh testing will provide you a detailed report, and possible recommendations for improving your pack.

gh Testing is also in the process of setting up 4AB classes to show our customers, and potential customers, how 4AB, and even ISTA 3A, can help reduce damages and the over cost of goods sold!

June, 2006 - In November of 2005, the DOT revised all third party laboratory's Approvals to contain more detailed report information along with some additional materials analysis.  At the end of December, we sent out a letter to out clients informing them of the revision.  A copy of the letter can be found here.

A copy of our new Approval, with package types for which we are approved to certify, can be found here.

We are currently working toward better streamlining our UN - DOT Performance oriented testing and reporting so that our customer's lead time for testing will dramatically drop.  We measure our lead time from when we receive the completed required test request form and sample packages for testing, to when the report is sent out the door.  To better help expedite this process, it is critical to get all required information up front.

gh Testing now fills all liquid packagings with the exceptions being: packages that critical tools necessary for closure such as heat seals, induction seals, crimp tools, etc.  All packages will be verified for 98% gross fill volume.  Gross fill volume is the nominal plus outage and any head space where liquid can be filled.

Don't forget that we have moved!  The new building, located on Thunderbird Lane in Fairfield, Ohio, will provide better access for loading and unloading product. As with the current location, the new location is near the I-75 and I-275 interchange. Dayton, Columbus, Indianapolis, Northern Kentucky, and Louisville are a short drive away.
